Today I worked the GNRHS booth at the Lynden Lyons train show with chief booth setter-upper Cordell Newby. One of the benefits of volunteering for these sorts of things is that you get to meet a lot of people that you might not get to through other avenues. Today a fellow happened by our booth who actually grew up in Grotto, WA. Not only that but his father worked the cement plant as a mechanic during the 1950’s. He’s going to mail me some plant blueprints and pictures so that I’ll be able to see what I’ve done wrong. All in all, not a bad day but I may have to put in an additional spur to the Std. Oil Co. immediately east of the depot.
